No Bag Day

 

No bag day with the tagline competency and compassion was held on 14th June. The day stood witness to various creative activities like splendid cook, card artistry, waste to wealth and just dance. Life skill activities were also given high priority as activities like fabric fresh (washing clothes), wheel wonders (learning to change wheel), lunch box hygiene (washing lunch boxes) were conducted. Students were also involved in compassionate Christite activities’ along with competency building. A group of students visited the Home for the Aged to express their solidarity and support towards the inmates. Even the tiny tots of kindergarten to grade 4 were engaged in various fun filled activities to develop their creative and thinking skills.

 
 

Welcome to the new principal

 

Our new Principal Rev Fr Renish P Varghese was accorded a warm welcome on 13th June. Rev Dr Augustine Paimpallil President STES, Fr Jinosh V M, former Principal, Fr Jose Kutty Campus Director, Fr Noble, Administrator, Ms Merlyn Christabel Vice Principal, Ms Sindhu N K Academic Coordinator, Ms Jayashree Suresh staff Coordinator, Ms Mini A S LCA coordinator Aashrith and Thanushree -School Pupil leaders were the dignitaries present.

A staff meeting was held on the same day to introduce the new principal Rev Fr Renish P Varghese to the staff members and to place on record the commendable work rendered by the outgoing principal Rev Fr Jinosh VM.

 
 

Inauguration of Compassionate Christitte

 

Compassionate Christite program for the current year was inaugurated on 12th June. Fr Jiby Panachickal CMI, Councilor for Social Apostolate and Health Care was the Chief Guest. Fr Jinosh VM Principal, Fr Jose Kutty, Campus Director, Fr Noble, Administrator, Ms Merlyn Christabel, Vice Principal, Mr Joseph Simon, Coordinator-Compassionate Christite, Jayashree and Jathin student representatives were also present. Students were sensitized about their responsibilities to extend a helping hand towards the less privileged people in the society.

 
 

Inauguration of Heritage and Language Clubs

 

Heritage and Language Clubs were inaugurated on 13th June. Various cultural programs were presented by the students highlighting the importance of language and stressing the need to preserve the rich heritage of our country.

 
 

Faculty Development Program

 

3rd Faculty Development Program organized by the CBSE-Centre of Excellence was held on 8th June. The topic was Gender Sensitivity in school. Ms. Niti Mahendra, Sr Principal, Edify School Bangalore and Mr. Sivakumar N V, Director and Principal, Pragathi International School were the resource persons of the day. The training touched upon the different nuances of the topic so relevant in today’s scenario’. Teachers were sensitized about the need to be aware about the gender related issues and its inclusivity.
